The numbers on your paid search depend on who's telling you.
Every medical practice running Google Ads gets told how it's going by someone with a reason to make it look good. The in-house team is reporting on its own work. The agency wants to keep the retainer. The competitor's free audit is a sales pitch in disguise. None of them are lying. They just all have a stake.
carrotcake audit exists to be the one read that doesn't. We never run ads, so we have nothing to protect and nothing to sell you on the back end. Just a straight answer about where your money is working and where it isn't.
An independent audit is normal in finance, in legal, in security. Somehow paid media, where companies spend just as much, never get one. We're building it.
I spent years inside the system I'm now checking.
I've spent 14 years in paid media for health, medical, and wellness practices, including running my own agency and managing millions in ad spend across some of the most competitive industries there are. I've sat on the side that builds the reports, which is exactly why I know how easy they are to frame.
The longer I did it, the more one thing bothered me: the person spending the money almost never had a neutral way to know if it was being spent well. Every check came from someone with a reason to keep the relationship going. I built carrotcake audit to be the exception, the read with no agenda attached.
A few things about me outside the work: I'm a Marine Corps veteran, a long-distance runner training for a marathon, and the owner of a senior chihuahua who genuinely runs the office.
Neutrality isn't a tagline. It's the whole business model.
We never run the ads
No retainer to protect, no upsell waiting on the other side of the report. If we recommend a fix, it's because the data shows it, not because it leads to more work for us.
Additive, not a replacement
We're not here to take your team's or agency's job. We verify the people doing the work, so good performers get backed up and gaps get caught early.
Plain answers, not dashboards
No vanity metrics, no jargon to decode. Just what's working, what's wasted, what changed, and what to do about it.
